Art Historian Publishes New Book on Ancient Italy

A new book on the art and archaeology of ancient Italy, co-edited by Sinclair Bell, assistant professor of art history, was published last month by the University of Wisconsin Press. The collection, New Perspectives on Etruria and Early Rome, follows the first archaeological traces of the rise of ancient Italy to its rediscovery in the Renaissance and its reinvention in contemporary fiction. This book follows Dr Bell’s 2008 publication, Role Models in the Roman World: Identity and Assimilation, published by the University of Michigan Press.
