Time Arts Alumna Earns National Recognition

There is no category at the Oscars for "Best Title Design" - but if New York Times columnist Alice Rawsthorn were in charge, there would be - and the Oscar goes to Kristyn Hume for "Precious."

NIU Time Arts alumna Kristyn Hume (BFA 1999) designed the titles for "Precious" and receives an excellent review (and highest honor) from Ms. Rawsthorn in a March 1 column entitled Making an Art Out of Credit Rolls. Other alums from the late '90's and early 2000's may remember Kristyn as Kristyn Furino, and for those interested, her website is here.
