CVPA Associate Dean named to Prestigious Board of Directors


Deborah Robertson, Associate Dean of NIU's College of Visual and Performing Arts, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of the Michael Chekhov Association, known as MICHA. MICHA specializes in providing training and information in Chekhov's psycho-physical approach to movement for the theatre.

Michael Chekhov was one of the most respected acting teachers in the world. Included among his students are Yul Brynner, Gary Cooper, Marilyn Monroe, Anthony Quinn and many other notables.

Deborah is also featured in the January 2011 issue of the American Theatre Magazine, in an article entitled "The Articulate Body: Movement Training for Actors."
