Clarinet Professor Making International News

Gregory Barrett, Professor of Clarinet in the NIU School of Music, has several great news items to share this summer:

The internationally-recognized music publisher Gérard Billaudot Éditeur of Paris, France is publishing Greg"s "24 Clarinet Etudes from the World." On August 5th Greg will be judging the final round of the International Clarinet Association's High School Competition at ClarinetFest 2011 in Los Angeles. On August 11, 12, and 13 Greg will present performances at FinnFest 2011, being held in San Diego, California. Greg will be performing the United States premiere of Aki Yli-Salomäki's Clarinet Concerto and participating in two chamber music concerts including a performance of Jean Sibelius/Gregory Barrett En Saga Septet.
