NIU Printmakers Distinguished at International Triennial

The first ULUS International Print Triennial took place in Belgrade, Serbia from June 1 through June 30. 265 artists from 35 countries were selected to have works on exhibit. Two of those selected artists are from NIU's School of Art.

Michael Barnes, professor of printmaking and coordinator of graduate studies in the NIU School of Art, was awarded one of only five prizes at the Triennial, the Center for Graphic Art and Visual Researches Award.

Peter Van Ael, coordinator of the School of Art's Olson Gallery, was also selected to have work present in the Triennial.

Congratulations Michael and Peter!
