Vocal Alumna Returns to Perform


Corinne Nelson Ness, a 1992 graduate of the NIU School of Music where she studied with voice professor Myron Myers, will return to the stage of the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall on November 1 to perform as soprano soloist with the School of Music's New Music Ensemble in their performance of Igor Stravinski's Les Noces.

While on campus, Ms. Ness will also present a workshop entitled "The Basics of Musical Theater Singing," in which she will focus on the anatomy and physiology of various musical theater styles.

Corinne currently serves as an assistant professor of voice at Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
