The NIU Art + Design Education Division student chapter of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) hosted "Build a Lego City" at Northern Illinois University’s STEMfest 2011. Visitors to "Build a Lego City" explored the integration of engineering and art through the creation of skyscrapers and other urban architectural structures with Lego building blocks. They also explored architectural design and engineering concepts in the digital realm using Lego Digital Designer software.
