Painting Professor Curates Chicago Show

Katie Kahn, professor of painting in the NIU School of Art, has curated a show in Chicago entitled "Detained." The show runs this week only (March 19 through 25), and appears at Mess Hall on Glenwood Avenue in Chicago.

"Detained" examines the connection between immigration and incarceration, and features the work of six artists. Among those six are NIU alums Katherine Webb and Abel Guzman, and current NIU MFA candidate Ramon Soto.
