Community School of the Arts Announces Anthony Devroye Residency

The NIU Community School of the Arts is pleased to announce the final portion of the residency by violist Anthony Devroye. Mr. Devroye has been working with the upper string sections of the Community School of the Arts Sinfonia, and this weekend will appear in concert as soloist with the CSA Sinfonia.

Mr. Devroye's appearances are made possible through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts.

Anthony Devroye is the violist of the renowned Avalon String Quartet, which was selected in 2007 to succeed the Vermeer Quartet as quartet-in-residence at Northern Illinois University, having previously held quartet-in-residencies at  Indiana University South Bend and the Juilliard School. Devroye has performed with the quartet in the United States, France and South Korea. Previously Mr. Devroye played with the New World Symphony in Miami Beach.
