Art Professor Creates Electric Sculpture for DeKalb Library

Bart Woodstrup, assistant professor of Time Arts in the NIU School of Art, was recently commissioned by the DeKalb Public Library as part of a grant project to create a sculpture. The project was part of the "Bright Futures: Electric Art Fair" sponsored by the library and NIU Stem Outreach.

Bart created a plexiglass "book" sculpture with etchings that lights up via the use of LED lights.

Check out Bart's webpage for more photos and a great video explaining the project.
