NIU's Steel Pan Icon Inducted into International Hall of Fame

The NIU School of Music's Clifford Alexis, world-renowned steel drum tuner, builder, arranger and performer and co-director of NIU's noted Steel Band, was recently notified that he's being inducted into the Percussive Arts Society's Hall of Fame.

The Percussive Arts Society is the world's largest organization of percussionists, with headquarters in the United States and chapters in more than 30 countries.

Our friends at NIU Today have written a very nice article about Cliff and his induction into the PAS Hall of Fame - please read their article here.

Congratulations, Cliff!
